I saw some birthday mentions here so let me start with a big Happy Birthday!
My reason to write is that I saw the Anderson Fair movie last weekend and was prompted to go back and listen to Comfort again and now I can't quit.
Thank you so much for doing what you do. Your work is appreciated by many us who don't get enough opportunity to say thanks.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEXT WEEK DENICE! Love and grins from Big D...
College in San Marcos in the early 80s... You probably don't remember me... doesn't matter... your music touched my soul then... as now... All the best to you! Peace & blessings...
I heart Denice Franke even if she don't allow no steel guitars on her records no more.
I first met you, Franke, when you were busking in the underground tunnels beneath the train station in Taipei, Taiwan. You were singing Bob Dylan's Boot's of Spanish Leather. It was so beautiful and so I traced the music to the source. I heard you sing in a nightclub and we had a couple of conversations. I own and treasure your first audio tape (and still use a couple of the songs in my English classes).
Lots of people listen to "Klingan" in Finland, too. My absolute favourite! So that's where I heard your music and bought the record right away. Fantastic music, thank you Denice! There are people coming over from Finland if you ever make it to Stockholm, Denice! How's your Finnish, Kimmo from Sweden? :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Have a good one.
Did you know that your album was "the album of the week" in the Swedish radio- program "Klingan" 5 th of April.
I`m not a manager but I can check some places for you to play in Sweden, maybe someday...
Í`ll keep in touch, best wishes,
